Tomato Plants to Share

Fellow community gardeners, James (plot 19) has some extra tomato plants he grew from seed to share with anyone interested in using them in their plot.  If you are a member of the community garden and would like some plants, email James (check the contact list sent to us by Justin Miller last month) and he will leave the requested plants in his plot in the garden on Sunday, May 30 or Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day).  The plants he has are small so there are no guarantees, but with this great weather, they should have a good shot!

No formal opening work day

Due to the rainy, cool weather, the formal work day scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 8 has been canceled.  The compost has been delivered and there will be wheelbarrows and shovels available starting tomorrow for those garden members who would like to work on their plots.  The tools will remain at the garden for several days for people to use to move compost to their plots.  The compost is located under the blue tarp in the parking lot.  There is no plan to reschedule the formal work day.
